Ho is the Vietnamese word for Tiger.
The tiger occupies an essential place in Vietnamese mythology. For centuries the tiger was a constant threat to man and livestock and was feared but also revered as a strong and powerful creature. Many legends and stories are about tigers and tiger sculptures can be found on many temples and pagodas in Vietnam.
