Heritedge Damascus Collection
Premium Damascus steel knives, handcrafted in Vietnam.
Damascus steel holds a special place in knife-making, admired both for its striking appearance and exceptional qualities. Crafted by layering and folding different types of steel multiple times, it achieves remarkable hardness and forms intricate, one-of-a-kind patterns.
In Vietnam, a tradition of masterful forging lives on, with skilled artisans dedicated to this meticulous craft.
These knives are made with care and precision, combining the heritage of Damascus steel with a thoughtful three-layer design. At the core is extremely hard carbon steel, enveloped on both sides by layers of Damascus steel. This combination offers an ideal balance of sharpness, weight, and durability, while the blade’s design is elevated further by a delicate copper layer embedded between the steel.
Each knife is a testament to craftsmanship and tradition, blending beauty with functionality for a lasting impression.
Nguu Damascus
Nguu is the Vietnamese word for Water buffalo.
Water buffaloes are part of the street scene, especially in rural areas of Vietnam. No wonder, because until a few years ago they were indispensable for agriculture. The water buffalo made an important contribution to the introduction of wet rice farming in Vietnam around 2000 years ago. Through its use, productivity in agriculture could be increased. The water buffalo therefore stands for strength, luck and prosperity.
The rectangular shape of the blade is typical of this Asian paring knife. The knife tip is slightly rounded to make chopping and slicing vegetables easier. The knife is ideal for preparing carrots, cucumbers, cabbage and other vegetables.
